Mom Loses Kid for Obesity

I have to argue a point with what I am sure is a well-meaning columnist who believes in the sanctity of family and thinks that more often than not children should be with their parents.  I do as well…up to a point.  What is this all about you wonder?  Well, an article I read on CNN by Ruben Navarrette Jr. called “Taking Obese Child from Mom is Wrong.”

Is it really?  Is it really wrong to say that to a mother whose child is morbidly obese, weighing more than 200 pounds at 8 years old?  Well, according to Ruben it is, because he feels that the child protective agency (CPS) overstepped their bounds.  They should have done some other form of intervention besides placing the kid in foster care.

But, Ruben and all who may be reading, there is a problem with what that line of thought.  He admitted in his article that the state gave this “mom” a full year to get her ass in gear to start feeding her kid with some sense.  They gave her the tools such as pediatric input on what and how to feed her child appropriately and instead of following the guidelines SHE MADE THE CHOICE to continue his 4,000 calorie a day junky, eat what you damn well please, garbage can lifestyle.

How the hell is this not abuse?  It tells me that she didn’t care enough for the life of her child when the doctors and everyone else informed her of the life threatening issues that were imminent if she failed to help him.  And she did just that, FAILED to help him by choosing to continue allowing him this garbage in system she created.

No one would have a problem if this mom were consistently feeding her kid a meager sustenance of 400 calories a day and doctors called CPS and alerted them that a kid was being starved and that health concerns were imminent.  But CPS was called when in this case when the “mom” took her son to the emergency room with trouble breathing.  That should have told the dingbat that he had some serious issues coming down the road.  Wouldn’t Ruben and everyone else say that the mom was neglectful for not allowing her child to eat healthy?

So, why is it okay for this fool to abuse food just as the starvation mom abuses food, to harm her child?  Whether you starve them or stuff them, you are doing something with food that has dire medical consequences for the child, all of which are bad with some being particularly life threatening.  We are not talking about a case of a couple snack cakes here and there or a cookie before dinner.  We are all guilty of that or something similar.  Hell, we are talking about a lady who allowed her kid to eat 4,000 calories of food in a day.

Does anyone know what it takes to eat 4,000 calories a day?  Most athletes don’t eat that much, save for the swimmer Michael Phelps.  And look how he exercises.  She was negligent just as much as the starvation mom.  She needed her kid taken so that he may have a chance at health.  And she still has a chance to get herself together enough to learn the proper way to feed children, herself and her family.

Let’s stop looking the other way on things like this.  He would be up in arms if the story wasn’t about the boy being taken for obesity, but being the youngest kid to die of a heart attack due to obesity.  No one would say, it was no one’s fault that an 8 year old died due to his cholesterol filled arteries.  We all would be beside ourselves with disgust as we all should be now.  And allowing anyone to blame it on ignorance is just plain ignorant.  There comes a point in time when all of us know that eating ten big macs a week just isn’t a good thing.  Consuming two boxes of cereal every morning is ridiculous.

So Ruben’s attempt at sympathy for a stupid mother isn’t going to fly in my book.  Just as sympathy for a stupid mother who didn’t realize that reusing dirty diapers was a bio-hazard that would cause flaming diaper rash, or the stupid mother who didn’t think that playing video games instead of feeding her kids was a big problem, would be unthinkable.  So should sympathy for this unfit, unhealthy, unthinkably dumb mother.

Should Religious Beliefs Trump Legal Rights?

People such as Rose Marie Belforti pictured above, the town clerk in Ledyard NY decided that she just can’t give out marriage licenses to gay couples due to her religion so she did just that, told a lesbian couple they will need to come back and get that license when one of her subordinates could do it for them.

Now, unfortunately I don’t believe that she was hired to a job in government due to her religion or based on her religion.  Her religion is her religion and that is something for her to keep to herself at her home.  She actually has no right to bring her philosophical beliefs to the workplace and infringe on others rights.  Belforti says state law “protects my right to hold both my job and my beliefs.”

Where state law DOES protect her right to hold her beliefs, it DOESN’T protect her from failing to do her job.  That right there should have this fool kicking up dust all the way to the unemployment office where someone there should deny her service because their god says only pretty people need be served.  And you know what I’m talkin’ bout’, just look at her.  And my god says it is my right to call it like I see it!

The bible says in Genesis 3:16 – “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children.  So me being a nurse, would she be in support of me denying her or her daughter’s call for pain medication during the delivery of a child.  Should I say that in good Christian faith, I can’t get her any pain medication nor call an anesthesiologist due to my Christian beliefs which says that women should be in extreme pain during childbirth?  And that her or her daughter will have to wait eight hours or more until my shift ends before they can have their pain alleviated due to my beliefs, is that acceptable to her.

People are so hypocritical.  It is becoming much more prevalent these days.  I want to deny people rights they have under the law based on my fucked up views of religion etc.  All the while expecting others to respect their rights not only to do everything they want to do that complies with the law.  She would never understand a teacher at her daughter’s school saying that he can’t teach her because his religious views say that women shouldn’t be allowed to be educated.  And that her daughter will need to wait until she can get into another teacher’s class who will tolerate females being educated.  She would expect this male teacher be fired, or disciplined in some way.

This woman should be fired.  It is not her place to bring her religion to work.  It is not her right to force her beliefs on anyone else.  It IS her job to hand out marriage licenses not to administer religious teaching.  And it is high time that we put a stop to these people who feel that their rights trump everyone else’s rights.  There is nothing written in the constitution placing anyone person’s rights above another.  Well except when we are dealing with black folks, but that’s another story isn’t it.

Where does it stop?  Do we have to be subject to others views of the bible which can be pretty damaging?  When does the stoning start?  Do I get to tell my boss that even though I am required to work on the Sabbath, I won’t and I should not only keep my job but be paid because they can’t infringe upon my religious rights?  And then should I be able to stone people to death for working on the Sabbath?  Because we all know that in Numbers 15:32-56 it does say that Moses was told by god to stone a man to death for gathering sticks on the Sabbath.  Hey, it’s my right under the bible and the state can’t stand in the way of my religious rights!

We have to set precedence or there is no stopping the things that one can do under the guise of bible worship.  I can stone my son to death for being insolent as it gives me full right to do in Deuteronomy 21:18-21.  This crap is going way too far and it is infringing on the rights of other humans to live their lives as the constitution said We hold these truths to be self–evident, That all men are created equal, That they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, That among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.– That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, Deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

It clearly says that the government and I would assume the workers there in, derive their powers from the consent of the governed NOT from the bible, god nor Christian churches or any other churches.  So it is about time to knock some sense into these people.  Kick her butt out of that position and place someone there that understands that the power they possess are given by the people who consist of gays, blacks, Asians, whites, Muslims, Hispanics and every other race, religion or creed.  Come on people get over your petty discrimination already!  And that means you Rose Marie Belforti!

White Female On Child Crime Is On The Rise

You know as I sat and watched the nightly news and this news story came on I was not even one bit surprised.  Yet another white woman was arrested for being a perverted predator.  It seems a married mother of two is accused of trying to have sex with a boy who is about the same age as her own children.  The 38 year old Christie Bradley is charged federally with coercion and enticement of a minor, and could face additional charges by the end of the week.

This seriously disgusting woman had the nerve to show up at the boy’s house toting lingerie and condoms after having an ongoing sexual conversation with him online.  She did this all in hopes of consummating her devious plan of child rape.  She met the kid on Facebook where she sent him explicit messages.  He also told the cops that she also kissed him on his mouth in his home previously.

She thought she was continuing to talk to the boy but the cops had already intervened and continued a conversation ruse.  Those cops let her hang herself as if she was about to appear on the NBC Dateline show aptly named Predators.  And whether she fulfilled her wishes or was busted attempting it, she is still obviously a predator.

When are they going to see that this is not a joke and start handing down some serious time for these female versions of the stereotypical pedophile?  We have a problem in that when we think about a pervert we start to think of some dude sneaking around trying to snatch a young child for his sexual perversions.  When it is starting to look like they are getting a run for their money by these perverted female teachers and sick mothers.

I think my whole problem with this is that we have so much lenience for white women who sexualize young children.  They do very little time in prison, get out and usually offend again, if they ever do any time in the first place.  As in the story of Maureen Lirette who slept with 7 teen’s some ages 13 and 14 and all she got was probation.  I am just wondering what it is going to take before we see this as a serious problem.

Will a black lady sexing up some 13 year old child make the difference?  Will we then decide that enough is enough and she will be the one that broke the camels back?  And we can then throw the book at her and make her an example?  I guess we will see and until then I will keep pointing these freaks out until it seems that it is being taken seriously.  Sexual exploitation whether it be a woman on boy or girl or man on boy or girl is damaging.

Will Casey Aldridge Do Time For Jamie Lynn?

Jamie Lynn Spears who is sixteen is pregnant what a surprise; OK it isn’t really much of a surprise since look at her family which seems to be a train wreck in progress. Any how I am not writing because I could care less that this dumb little girl is pregnant or not. What I care about is the fact that she is pregnant by her boyfriend of two years Casey Aldridge who is nineteen is the father. Now if I am not mistaken in California where her show is being taped and probably the place where the little tart probably did the deed the age of consent is eighteen.

I am wondering if this fellow will be charged with misdemeanor sex with a minor which is punishable by one year in jail. And if it turns out that he is older than her by more than actual three years he can be charged with a felony and punished to an undefined prison term. Now I only ask this since Genarlow Wilson was jailed for two years and would have been longer if people hadn’t gotten out and protested it. Yet he was seventeen and the girl was fifteen. So it seems to me that this guy needs to get the same treatment since it doesn’t matter if he is a celebrity of not. The law states clearly that if the man is over eighteen and the girl under eighteen that a misdemeanor has been committed and someone has to pay.

And exactly what kind of message is this sending to her young fans who are watching her show on Nickelodeon called Zoey 101. What kind of mother helps her daughter sell the story of her pregnancy to a magazine for one million dollars? The magazine OK will pay Jamie Lynn the million dollars when the baby is born. It seems that the Spears mother was not above helping this daughter to capitalize off of this sad news. Yet look at the mess that older daughter Brittney has made of her life and that of her children and you can pretty much see what kind of parent we are dealing with.

This is just a seriously stupid situation to me since Jamie Lynn is now telling other teen girls that having sex at a young age is wrong and to wait, blah, blah, blah. Yet actions speak louder than words. I would think that she and her family had enough money to get her in to see a doctor and plan for some sort of birth control. The family knew that she was in this “serious” relationship, and I use that term lightly, when the girl started dating this boy when she was thirteen. Why hadn’t they had “the talk” so that this type of thing could be avoided?

Unfortunately I don’t hold much hope for her fan base that will undoubtedly find whatever she has done now cool and want to emulate her or at least be under the impression that having sex now is not as bad an idea as they might have thought. I sure hope that the parents of these girls do some serious damage control and talk with them and give them the information showing why having children in your teens is a BAD idea. All I can do is wish this lost girl good luck since if she is anything like her older sister she is bound to need it.

Joel Osteen A Fat Cat In Skinny Goat’s Clothing

It is Sunday morning and we are up and watching a little television when we just happen to come across this fellow in a huge mega church preaching about how God wants to bless you with prosperity etc. Now I am interested in what this humble sounding fellow had to say as I am constantly curious how people could actually listen to these prosperity preachers on a constant basis. It turns out that his name is Joel Osteen and I remember seeing him on Larry King not to long ago. He has a new book so I guess he was on the book whore, I mean tour circuit to push his goods.

Now I don’t subscribe to these prosperity pushers such as Creflo Dollar, T.D. Jakes, John Hagee, Joyce Meyer, Pat Robertson, Juanita Bynum, The Tower of Power Schuller, Benny Hinn, Paula & Randy White, Oral Roberts, Mike Murdoch, Robert Tilton and Peter Popoff. Osteen and these preachers are pulling down money that would make the riches Pharaoh or Sultan blush. Yet God has specific scripture denouncing the rich lifestyle such as Mathew 19:24 “Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” Let Osteen and the other modern day swindlers tell it and you too can get to heaven by helping to line their pockets and bank accounts to overflowing.

Osteen was preaching today about not having a skinny goat mentality which he equated with a poor person mentality. You need to think big and know that God wants to make you prosperous with blessings. All you have to do is pray, OH and don’t forget to say the Amen. The Amen part is like sealing the prayer and blah, blah, blah. Now I am not a Christian by any means and know that God isn’t waiting in the wings to give me anything for giving these con artists one thin dime. In fact I think that just the opposite will happen, if I pay my hard earned money to this and the other thieves I will be even more destitute. It is like a fool calling the psychic hotline (which I worked for a short time) and what do they always ask? Why don’t I ever have any money, and will I get some money soon? I always wanted to say you have no money and won’t get any because you keep paying two dollars a minute for these phone calls. Why don’t you hang up and save your money then I could pop them on the head like a V-8 commercial.

Joel Osteen isn’t interested in my spiritual or any other part of my well being. He constantly talked about the fact that he also has a skinny goat mentality yet he grew up in the cradle of money as his father was also a preaching money maker. So where exactly did he get this skinny goat mentality. All he talked about for the entire time was building this mega church and how he felt that they could only afford to keep the old broken tiles and jacked up bathroom stalls etc. And when his cousin whom works for him said they should get all new things which prompted Osteen to wonder where his cousin got this fat cat mentality from. Well probably from the fact that through Osteen’s nepotism and cronyism he too is benefiting off the backs of Osteen’s poor stupid parishioners.

This mega church they built cost somewhere around seventy million dollars, damn that’s a lot of money. Yet he is a humble country preacher, “don’t know nothing about money matters,” is what he said when he had to go to Bank of America for a twenty five million dollar loan. Banks don’t just give that kind of money to people without a plan, no knowledge about how things in the real word work. He knows full well how money and the like work, like I said earlier, this guy was born to a money grabbing preacher. I don’t want to rag on anyone’s religion but I don’t believe that this preacher’s actually preaching about religion well maybe the religion of money. This guy and the others only seem to have one goal in mind and that is to separate you and me from our income and that is my problem.

I can barely look at these prosperity doctrine preacher’s let alone listen to the garbage they spew. I heard one preacher Paula White look into the camera and ask people to send her their first paycheck of the month. What! Is she crazy, most people are living paycheck to paycheck so who can afford to just send off a whole check to that cretin. She claims, just like Osteen and all the rest that you will get that back two fold or better. Gee if I send my hard earned money away how will I get this money back, is she going to pay my bills? This is another one of those “you got to have blind faith” things. I guess I am too inquisitive to just follow anything on blind faith. But, until others show more of a questioning nature instead of blindly following the pack like a good little sheeple.

I’m Too Sexy For The Plane

Southwest Airlines lectured 23 yr old Kyla Ebbert on dressing appropriately to fly their friendly skies. She was wearing an ultra mini jean skirt, a tank top with a small shrug sweater which accentuated the bust. Now a lot of the people on the plane with families apparently started complaining to the flight attendants who then asked her to pull her skirt up and tank top down was given a blanket and allowed to fly on to her destination. Now on CNN a lot of people wrote in to say that it was ok for her to dress in this manner and that the airlines should be ashamed of themselves. I am the last person to agree that people shouldn’t be able to dress like they want. Yet, the same people who are so enamored with this ladies dress are gung ho to have the young baggy pants wearing fellows be fined for their style choice.

Now I think that after seeing the young lady wearing this outfit during her morning news interview it was quite obvious why she was being talked to about her clothes. After she sat down on the set, in the same manner she said she sat on the plane, they actually had to have her crotch area pixilated because the skirt covered nothing. Now she had an aisle seat and I think the folks on the plane didn’t want their children nor themselves (maybe some men did) staring at her crotch as they walk back from the bathroom etc. I think this whole thing is a stupid joke. She says that she held herself together while on the flight but the minute she was off the plane she supposedly lost it calling her mother. She sent her mother pictures of her outfit that she had taken with her camera phone. She wanted to make sure she was dressed appropriately. Michelle Ebbert, her mother was appalled by the actions of the airlines stating that “My daughter is young, tall, blond and beautiful and she is both envied and complimented on her appearance. She dresses provocatively, as do 99 percent of 23-year-old girls who can. But they were out of line.”

Southwest said in a letter sent to the mother Michelle Ebbert that “it was within its rights to remove a passenger “whose clothing is lewd, obscene or patently offensive” to ensure the comfort of children and “adults with heightened sensitivities.” I don’t know what I find more ridiculous the fact that the airline felt compelled to act on her clothes or the young lady getting ready to sue the airline or that she didn’t see a problem with her crotch showing on an airline flight. Yes she is planning to sue the airline due to making her feel bad when they chastised her about her choice of dress. That’s right kaching; kaching let the cash register ring anytime someone makes you feel bad. Well this stupid girl, the airline and CNN is making ME feel bad, so should I go and start my plans to sue them all. I am sorry this is such a stupid story, which is probably why we are seeing it everywhere. I know if it is so stupid why are you writing about it Black Sentinel? Well because when they started touting that they were going to pass a law so they could fine people for wearing saggy pants, it was being hailed as something that would help those young kids in the ghetto. Yet let some blonde dingbat wear crotch flashing skirts and what’s the big deal, she’s young and beautiful, this is what beautiful people do, show off their bodies. Well maybe those kids in the ghetto think they and their boxer shorts are beautiful and so shouldn’t we cut them some slack as well?

What is the difference, I see baggy pants sporting boxer short covered asses or I see skimpy mini skirts sporting panty covered crotches. I don’t see any difference they are both showing way more than I want to see. So I guess Southwest was only helping the public like our local governments are trying to do with the saggy pants bills that are popping up everywhere. But the question is do you have the right to wear what you want whether it offends people or not? And does the establishment have the right to stop you if too many patrons complain? Well isn’t it the same thing as being asked to leave Applebee’s restaurant for breastfeeding even though she did it while under a blanket so no one “actually” saw anything but they just “knew” what she was doing? Hey it’s an eatery and the baby was eating, so what’s the problem. It just seems to me that we are taking this “I want control over my neighbor” crap a little too far. I feel that she should have been left alone with her crotchety skirt, the baggy pants boxer showing wearers should be left alone and the breastfeeding lady should be left alone and whoever doing whatever that is not illegal, hey leave them alone. Why is it that everyone feels entitled to push their morals, values, likes, dislikes on others? Yes I know that it goes both ways and that those with the pants, skirts and breasts are also pushing as well. So what can we do? How about we just mind our own businesses and if we don’t like it don’t look at it. I am pretty sure this will come back to bite me in the ass later when I see something that just bugs the hell out of me. Well I will just have to cross Hypocrite Bridge when I come to it. So in the meantime have fun showing whatever you feel comfortable showing.

The New Slave Trade Alive In New Orlean’s

Rosetta James cries for her son 29 year old Glenn Thomas, who died in the Orleans Parish Prison. Unfortunately, none of the Prison authorities, the Sheriff’s office nor City or State Officials notified her of this. She had to be told by a family friend who received a call from their loved one who was in the jail with Glenn. Rosetta angrily went to the prison on July 4th for information, she was told that her son who had absolutely no known medical problems, died the night before of “natural causes”, and that if she wanted she could call back in a month to get an official report.

Glenn Thomas died while awaiting his day in court; he was picked up on a warrant for failure to appear in court for simple drug possession. The unfortunate part happens to be, that on his stated court date the city of New Orleans was uninhabitable and people were being kept from entering in this part of the city. So, if no one can enter, then how was the court date still in effect? He sat in jail for one year awaiting his trial date but never made it. Criminal Sheriff Marlin Gusman’s public information officer, Renee Lapeyrolerie, said they couldn’t provide details about Thomas’s death but said, “Well, in his criminal history he had a lot of drug arrests. Those things can be linked to health problems.”

This is the third such “natural cause” death there this year, and they just don’t know how any of these deaths occurred. Sheriff Gusman blames anything that goes on in the jail as “the prisoners own fault or not enough money”. We know that he didn’t commit suicide, and money isn’t the problem as the jail receives a per diem amount and 3.2 million dollars per year intended for medical expenses towards the inmates’ wellbeing. In his 2007 budget request to the City Council, Gusman asked for an additional $5 million for medical services, a request that was granted. People are speculating that the Sheriff would like to get the numbers inhabiting his prison back to the pre-Katrina amount, stating that they are pretty sure they know exactly “who” will be the inhabitants.

Sheriff Gusman has made sure that the city’s trail to revitalization will be paved by his inmates–literally. According to the Nation, “since Katrina, Gusman has used his Community Service Program and Neighborhood Response Team to deliver cheap labor for reconstruction projects. His office’s website features photos of inmates in orange jumpers and sweatshirts emblazoned with Sheriff Gusman Community Service Program next to road signs announcing, Project Clean-Up, Inmates Working.” According to the Nation, in its first session back after Katrina the legislature amended a law regulating parish jail labor in order to grant immunity to prison authorities “for injuries or damages caused or suffered by prisoners participating in any work program during incarceration at parish jail facilities.” When asked, a legislative staffer about the origins of the post-Katrina amendment, she said, “I believe it was because there was a labor shortage.”

This is pretty much the way things were about a century ago. The Antebellum city records refer to what is now the Orleans Parish Prison as the “Workhouse”. Also along with those arrested for crime, the jail was a storehouse for slaves whose masters chose to lease them to the Workhouse. The same archives also disclose that Blacks were sent to the Workhouse for “claiming to be free”: In the space where the master’s name was usually recorded, these inmates were referred to as “so-called free.” After the 1863 Emancipation Proclamation, Blacks arrested in New Orleans for black-code crimes such as vagrancy and unemployment were taken to the parish Workhouse. During Reconstruction, the incarcerated former slaves provided a stable pool of forced labor for railroad companies, agriculture and industry.

Lieutenant Eric Donnelly, director of the sheriff’s work-release program told a local business paper that the program played such a vital role in re-starting the city’s economic engine. “As soon as the hurricane ended and we got a new phone, it was ringing off the hook from employers saying they needed their inmates,” Donnelly said. “So as soon as we were getting them back in we had [employers] coming to pick them up themselves. That’s how much they rely on this program.” These employers might as well be calling looking for their “Slaves”. But, obviously to New Orlean’s as well as the rest of the nation, it doesn’t matter as long as those bad, bad black people are off the streets, whether that be dead from god only knows what in an overcrowded prison yet to even face charges, or worked like a slave just as their ancestors had, by a chain gang happy Sheriff.

Blacks Fall Through The Foster Care Cracks More Often

Even though children suffer from abuse and neglect equally regardless of race the amount of black children who enter foster care never to be reunited with family nor find permanent homes is much higher than that of white families. Should anyone be surprised by this, of course not, it is the same phenomenon that puts ten times more black men and women in prisons than their white counterparts; which is to break up the black family unit. But I guess we can’t complain too much since not enough of us are standing by to help these families regroup, nor are we becoming the foster parents that we should.

According to the Washington Times, in its report on “African American Children in Foster Care,” the GAO said that in 2004, black children accounted for 162,911, or 34 percent, of the 482,541 children in state care. This is double the proportion of black children in the general child population, the GAO said.

To explain this “racial disproportionality,” the GAO checked to see whether there was more abuse and neglect in black families, but the federal National Incidence Study of Child Abuse and Neglect showed that children of all races and ethnicities are equally likely to be abused or neglected. So unfortunately there is no excuse.

The GAO has admitted that there “may” be some bias in due to poverty and race. The question the GAO needs to answer is not why so many black children enter the system; it should be why they aren’t working as hard to get the black families back together like they obviously do for the white families. They are also claiming that the children were placed with relatives of the child’s for foster care. That these families were refusing to adopt the kids or become permanent guardians because, “these people didn’t want to give up the kinship care subsidy. So basically they are saying that they couldn’t help these children and families because of money hungry relatives. So they are now saying that this subsidized guardianship will help them “move” black kids from foster care, because these black families won’t have to forfeit any of the stipend money.

So instead of focusing on the problem that gets black children into the system to system in the first place, lets focus on some negative aspect of the foster “families” and run with that to solve things. Let’s focus on fixing the problems in the black community such as lack of employment, low income, inadequate education, housing and crime which is generally the root of these very same problems. If we were to expend this wasted energy being put into trying to find ways to keep black kids IN foster care, and use it on the things listed above, very small amounts of black children would be in need of foster care. Why not discontinue placing band-aids over deep gashes and actually repair them like we would if those gashes were slashed into the body of a white child.

Illegal Immigrants Causing Outrage

I just have to weigh in on illegal immigration, because it is and already has been a topic that brings about such outrage. I want to look at how these illegal immigrants are coming here bringing crime, racism, disharmony with the natural rhythm of people and things in this land. Some consider them a cancer upon the very land we stand and some see them as just a new face to help cultivate more diversity.

By the boatload is how they seem to arrive into the country, not just one or two, but whole families looking for a way out of a bad situation in their homeland. Once they get here they settle into their own little communities and refuse to speak the language of the land actually setting up government in their own image with officials who cater to their wants and needs also speaking their preferred language. If you go into these communities they expect you to speak their language and submit to the customs that they brought here with them.

The crime rate has skyrocketed with their arrival, rapes, kidnappings and even worse terrorist murders. They bring weapons and different types of contraband that is not tolerated in our society. The areas where they seem to be landing are dangerous to say the least. They kill and or injure the people we send there to patrol the area. Then actually complain within their little communities that we are the bad guys, the ones to be feared, constantly complaining about our efforts to secure our borders and ourselves.

Unable to care for themselves they take advantage of all of the resources used to help our own, such as food, housing, heating and education. The strain on resources is astronomical since they take but do little to contribute completely to our society while turning around and bringing even more of their family and friends further increasing this strain. Undercutting our ability to make a decent living is causing the living standards of our community to start to decline, which eventually has lead to the decline of our infrastructure.

Unfortunately they also bring in diseases that kill a large portion of our communities. In fact some of the diseases were given to our number as a means to hurt us. With the disease levels raising it is becoming more of a strain on our society to try and remedy this as a shortcoming of health professionals is a problem. Also being consumed by materialism they are taking our goods and services without repayment which is largely responsible for a down shift in values.

The strain on the land is also a problem. The illegal immigrants are sullying the environment with toxicities due to their inability to adapt quickly which causes them to live in conditions that prevent them from keeping the area clean of refuse. Sometimes it just seems that they do very little for the environment acting as if they don’t care at all, when nature is such a large part of our heritage.

We have members of our own communities who are helping these people to move into our society, trying to show them how to adapt quicker. This practice has been outlawed but due to their sympathetic eyes they don’t see a problem with giving them food, water, shelter and passage into the area. It is a great debate about what should be done to quail these human smugglers. These so called humanitarians are considered to be contributing to the downfall of our society.

These humanitarians listen to these illegal people’s sad stories of misconduct and persecution by their own government and feel sorry for them. They tell of their religious nature and how they only intend to share this country with us and those like us. They also told how they feel they should be allowed to make their way to the opposite coast, which was what they called manifest destiny as they said it gave them the right to take whatever they felt they needed. This happened to be our land, our resources and our very lives. But, no one cares about this illegal immigration because without it the people in the majority in this land wouldn’t be who they are today. The past is the past right, we can’t do anything about what happened back then, we just need to stop the new illegal immigrants from doing to us what we did to the original land owners. This sounds like a racist rant, yet these are the very arguments people are using to get others to join in on hating Hispanics.

Let me be the judge

I’m sure by now you’ve all seen or heard of one of daytime televisions staple the court room show. You name them, Texas Justice, The People’s Court, Judges Christina, Alex, Mathis or Joe Brown, and one of my most hated Judge Judy. These shows usually pit two idiots in a court room being presided over by an ex-judge who has whatever extra spark that makes them perfectly suitable for daytime drama. The one thing that all of these judges have in common is their undoubtedly uncanny ability to yell, insult and belittle their perspective idiot claimants or defendants unmercifully. At times you can be sure that the justice both idiots are searching for will not be found in any of these courtrooms.

 

Forgive me if you think that I hate courtroom television shows, I don’t. I had (noticed the past tense) come to love the People’s Court. I couldn’t get enough of it, setting my DVR to record it daily so I wouldn’t miss a thing. My boyfriend mind you can’t even stand one minute of hearing Judge Milians’ voice and runs from the room the minute he sees me gearing up to watch the show. I even have an autographed picture from the judge. But, as of late I have been having a serious problem getting through a show without being disgusted and fast forwarding through certain rants the judge has been making. Some of the things have been said in a way that feels really racial and caused me extreme anger.

 

I don’t say this lightly, as I was a huge fan but, as I take a step back it’s as if no matter what evidence a person of color produces it’s almost irrelevant…you lose! I once saw Judge Judy in which a black man had accused a white man of stealing his money; but before the presentation of any evidence she called the guy an out and out liar amongst other things, yelling it with such venom. The white man denied it all, in which she said that the black man was so ridiculous. Needless to say the black guy produced a video tape showing the white guy in full view stealing the money. She did not offer an apology nor did she take back any of the bad things she said. She just commented on how he should have produced the tape sooner. I feel a Geico moment here: “I’m sorry, if I had known you were there, I wouldn’t have said that.” But hey, he was no caveman just a black one so he didn’t even deserve that.

These shows are fodder for the masses of mindless drones just wanting to see the next verbal beat down in a Jerry Springer meets Court TV fashion. But, anything that makes the mind go blank in an attempt to block out the real issues of the day, this is a double bonus if you include a bit of minority bashing as well. Maybe I should not be so concerned with the treatment of minorities on these shows about truth and justice seeing as there is no truth and certainly no justice for most minorities in our legal system and these shows just want to reflect the position of America.
