M O R O N – That Spells Tea Party

Click for video of John Fleming on Chris Jansing

Waaahhh, I only have 400 thousand dollars left over after feeding my family!  Is what Tea Party congressman John Fleming’s cried on Jansing & Co. this morning about Obama’s plan to tax the wealthy as much as the middle class.  Can this idiot be for real?

We have people and a lot of them in this country as well as in the Tea Party who have to “get along” with more like 40 thousand dollars or less a year and he is crying over 400 thousand.  That just pisses me off to the core.  This is the selfish bullshit that we are dealing with in some of the worst economic times ever.

Not only is this Tea Party sucker bitching and moaning about paying more taxes, but he and his cohorts are also saying that we need to cut spending on programs for the poor as well as “raise” taxes on those same poor folks.  Because lord knows those poor suckers who after feeding their families are left with a good 200 dollars for the year as income should be forking out at least a hundred and fifty of that to pay down the deficit consisting mainly of tax cuts for John Fleming and those like his selfish ass.

Poor John Fleming sitting there in his million dollars or better home with his family just trying to survive and here we are trying to create class warfare with his kind by taking more of those 400 thousand dollar crumbs of his is after his businesses brought in 6.3 million dollars for the year.  I guess when he said 400 thousand; he totally forgot the 173 thousand a year he also gets by being a congressman.  But, why split hairs, we know he is just on the cusp of the poor house; and with that kind of money coming in every year, who can remember it all.

The class warfare is that the Republican and Tea Party believes that not only do the rich need to pay less into the society that is putting the money in their pockets, but somehow the poor should be paying more to ensure that they have the means to pay less.  How sick is that?  This has been a long time coming and people better start looking at the writing on the wall before it’s too late.

Even Jansing told the idiot that he position to the majority of America isn’t very sympathetic.  He could care less because his answer was the “class warfare never created one job.”  But, you know what Mr. Fleming, a tax cut for a selfish wealthy bastard never created one job either.  In fact the years that we had all these tax cuts for the rich, the only thing that happened was that we started losing jobs faster than ever.

Because what Fleming doesn’t understand is that he has the whole economic structure backwards.  He believes that those at the top or company owners create jobs when in fact it is those at the bottom who create jobs.  It probably sounds nuts but hear me out.  If I open a lemonade stand, I have to have a demand for my lemonade from the thirsty people looking for a good deal on a cold drink on a hot day.

Neither Mr. Fleming nor his cohorts are cruising the streets looking for lemonade as these people only make up one percent of the population anyway.  It is the hard working people that are my customers.  And any kid with a paper route, lemonade stand or girl scout selling cookies understands that you aren’t going to do any business if you have no customers or your customers have no money to spend.

Mr. Flemings owns a lot of Subway sandwich shops and he isn’t going to tell me that somehow if he has lower taxes and the poor have higher taxes he is going to do some brisk business.  In fact we all know that he will do very poorly.  If the people have no money or less money frivolous spending at sub shops will decline.  Those moneyless people will be better off buying a loaf of bread and a package of baloney at the super market for the price of one sub sandwich.  So, who is fooling who here?

But, you see it doesn’t just stop there.  He and his cohorts want to cut all government programs so that those poor folks won’t even get food stamps to buy their bread and baloney.  But, unfortunately for Mr. Fleming, they won’t have money for food, but they damn sure won’t have money for his stupid submarine sandwich.

I guess we’ll see his stupid face in the soup kitchen line right along with the rest of us.  You can’t build a business with moneyless customers.  And if your customers have no money, you my friend will eventually have no money either.

M O R O N – that spells Tea Party, lawds yes.

Black Crybabies Whining Again

It doesn’t matter what forum, what news report or op-ed you read that has something to do with race, you will undoubtedly read a plethora of racist demeaning stereotypical comments from people who start off their rant with “I’m not racist, but” or “I’m not black or white, so I am unbiased, and.”

I was reading an article from CNN Money called “Black unemployment ‘a serious problem’.”  You can go and have a look at the comments and you will see just what I am talking about.  Now these types of comments are all too common, I mean I get a lot of them myself no matter what I am talking about.  The general theme consistently seems to be that blacks are just a bunch of lazy, unqualified, and looking for a handout whiny cry babies.

And then they turn right around and say that racism is not responsible for the serious disparity in unemployment rates.  Now I am pretty sure that this type of stereotypical thinking by so many white bigoted people is completely responsible for the disparity.  Because we know that white people ARE the majority of managers in charge of hiring, so it is relative that this type of thinking, which seems very prevalent, is a serious problem for black employment numbers.

Yet, we see by these types of comments that far too many white people are all too willing to play the white race card by deflecting, denying and raising issues that have nothing to do with the original point.  What chance do we have for looking at the issue of disparity let alone solving it if we can’t even raise the issue without most people becoming overly threatened?

What these people are trying to have us all believe is that the disparity we see in unemployment rates are just our imagination.  In fact one person replied that the rates of unemployment for blacks and whites were the same.  When actually what these people are saying is that it doesn’t matter that blacks are unemployed at twice the rate of whites because blacks don’t matter.

These people come to blogs, forums and every news report about racism and cry about how black people cry about racism.  Yep, they cry and it is OK, we cry and it is just too much for their sensibilities.  I guess blacks should just shut up about racism and allow it to continue their comfort be damned, all for the sake of making sure that white people don’t feel uncomfortable.

And then of course the comment was made that a few deadbeat blacks make all blacks look bad.  Do these people who say these stupid things ever wonder why deadbeat white people never make ALL whites look bad?  Would the answer be, the same racism that they deny even continues?  And is it the few deadbeat blacks who cause bigoted white hiring managers to overlook black applicants while not doing the same to the white ones?

Of course what discussion about racism in employment would be complete without the ever pressing complaint by bigots that blacks can’t get hired because their names are too “ethnic?”  One person says “Looks at their first names!!! Any prospective employer sees “Shatiqua Washington”, the resume’ goes in the trash!”  Isn’t this the epitome of racism?

Wouldn’t this be a prime example of why blacks have a higher unemployment rate?  And for anyone to know, see or say this and also think that racism doesn’t exist has to either be completely stupid or a huge bigot or both.  But we know that most of the people who are spewing these stereotypical idiocies are both.

What I see is that a lot of people will continue to use their ability to try and derail and stifle any look at racial disparity.  And this will continue to foster racism and racial disparity in this country.  We can’t escape the racial problems because those who aren’t suffering from the disparity don’t want to.

These people aren’t just sitting idly by while racism continues.  They are helping to continue it through racist rhetoric, stereotypes and propaganda.  The anonymity of the internet has allowed these bigots who are probably the hiring director for some company who just happens to be completely devoid of minorities to spew the racist rhetoric they would only say to their closest bigoted ally.

Until these types of bigoted white people can somehow be made to understand that their white privilege doesn’t give them ownership over black people’s experiences with racism we will continue the crying that they find so unbearable.

Arguments As To Why Blacks Don’t Deserve Respect

I constantly read comments from some self serving white person calling themselves  “white brother” or some other asinine name, who uses the age old racist talking points to explain why the black community is constantly in despair. It is always under the guise that blacks are so criminal, so uneducated, such separatists and so racist against themselves that they don’t deserve any respect.

They will always claim that somehow blacks are only 13% of the population yet swear that we commit 60 , 70% or some other astronomically incorrect amount of the crimes. Where do they get these statistics?  Yet they fail to mention how Black folks are 13% of the population with an unemployment rate of 11.2%. according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. How about explaining Devah Pager’s study which showed that white men with a felony record and only a high school diploma received a call back rate for employment of 17%.  Yet, black men with a four year college degree and NO criminal record got a call back rate of only 15%. So instead of them touting their bogus crime stats why don’t they explain why blacks are unemployed and get called back for less jobs than a white high school graduating felon?

Then spout that black unity is about black supremacy or being black first and American second. It seems that these people want to use the white power or white pride as a base from which to judge black unity. We see that these people screaming white pride are coming from a position where they believe that pride in their race somehow equates to every other race be inferior to their race. Unfortunately black power/unity comes from a totally different mindset.

For one thing white people invented the retarded rules about race. And are the ones who decided that blacks were of course black sub-human beings. Then when pushed they decided we were black, full human then American. Not only that, they also created an environment where being black was a bad thing which carried NO power or clout. So in light of this, blacks had to fight that negative with a positive about black pride, unity and power. White’s also equate the term American with white such as the “all American boy or girl.” So until we ALL equate American with any race, blacks will always be black first and American second.

It never fails that as soon as they get started with those first two whammies they pull this one out as well. Sure blacks may have jacked up schools and their education isn’t as thorough as white kids, but hey blacks here have better education than a lot of third world countries. Just because blacks have access to this second class education that might or might not be better than some third world country, they should shut their pie hole. For one thing, THIS IS NOT A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY!  So why are we comparing our education to theirs?  Wouldn’t it be best if we compared black education to their white counterparts in this country?

Shouldn’t blacks have the same access to quality education as every white person? I guess since those black schools are that top notch we should begin turning all white schools into the same out dated, ramshackle buildings, out of date books, and understaffed, underfunded, unqualified shit holes as well. But then how would they be able to qualify their next assertion that blacks are inferior in education if EVERYONE were to receive this bull shit they call the best education blacks could ask for?

My favorite by far is if you don’t like how things are here, why don’t you just go back to… in Africa. They name the one place in Africa with the latest horrible genocide, famine or drought. They never say something like go back to Equatorial Guinea, Seychelles, Botswana, and Mauritius, Gabon or the island of Reunion. The point is that they never name any of the countries on the CONTINENT of Africa that happen to have a good standard of living. Yet, would get totally offended when you counter with telling them to go back to South Ossetia, or Georgia where they seem to be having some war issues. The first thing they say is that they are not Ossetian or Georgian, yet it made no difference that you don’t originate from any of those war torn African nations.

Another good one is no one oppresses black people but black people. If you let them tell it, blacks must run all the businesses that keep us unemployed at twice the rate of whites. Blacks must run all the banks who decide they will give blacks a higher interest rate on loans even with all things being equal or better between them and their white counterpart. Blacks must be handling all the school resources in order to continuously keep the schools in the black areas dilapidated while the white schools have MORE than enough to ensure they are educated properly. Yep, sounds to me like blacks are their own worst enemy. We should boycott black people who run all those things that keep us from our goal of the American dream. Damn you all and your infernal illogic!

Unemployment Numbers Gone Wild

unemployment.jpg

The news was touting the new unemployment figures for which they reported was at about 5%. Which they then said was still a historical low. Yet can we really trust these numbers? We know that the fortune 500 companies like to “cook” the books so to speak but what about the government are they “cooking” the books when it comes to things such as unemployment, gross domestic product and the consumer price index. With the government playing fast and loose with the numbers we could be closer to a depression than any of us actually know.

When the government compiles the data for unemployment they count the people who are drawing unemployment checks currently. According to John Williams “Real unemployment right now — figured the way that the average person thinks of unemployment, meaning figured the way it was estimated back during the Great Depression — is running about 12%. Thus the government is actually not counting people who have exhausted all of their available unemployment benefits nor people chronically unemployed stated to be at five million people.

Most people think that we are doing a lot worse than the numbers tell us and they are right. The lying doesn’t stop there they are also flubbing the numbers on gross domestic product in such a way that Williams talks about something called “imputations” which are “an outgrowth of the theoretical structure of the national income accounts. Any benefit a person receives has an imputed income component. If you’re a homeowner, the government assumes that you pay yourself rent on your house, so that’s rental income. … Imputed interest income, for instance, accounted for 21% of all personal interest income in 2002, and was growing at an annual rate of over 8%. Meanwhile, fully 62% of total rental income that year was the imputed variety.”

Williams points out that “folks really aren’t doing that well, which is why their incomes aren’t growing, which is why they’ve borrowed money.” People are going to be borrowing more money and thus getting into even more trouble. It looks pretty dismal to me yet I have seen this coming for a while now. It was said in the article that “Our financial condition is a ticking time bomb. What none of us knows is when it implodes.” Right now people are buying and practically living on credit. Yet, trying to convince themselves and others that they are living well just because they have a lot of material goods. These people are living on borrowed money and time. As we just heard that the dismal dollar is on its way down and who knows where or when it will stop.

This materialistic lifestyle that we have been getting sucked into, all too willingly, by the big business of advertising and marketing is what is driving this credit era. Businesses are spending millions if not billions to push their wares on hungry consumers. Apple has marketed the hell out of the IPOD even though the price of these things is out of control and not nearly worth it. People are paying thousands for computers that can be bought for hundreds. Yet this doesn’t stop people because it is no longer about the money, it is now about the wow, look at me factor. People aren’t buying a thousand dollar pair of shoes because they are the most comfortable and lasting. Nope, people buy these shoes because they can say “hey, I can afford a thousand dollar shoes, look at me.”

At this time of the year when spending on the holidays is probably putting some people into the poor house or at least out of a house all together, we are just as unconcerned as ever. What is it that we are teaching our children with this irresponsible behavior, that they can spend willy nilly and not have to worry about whether or not they even have the money? Just get a credit card and all your troubles are gone. The fact that people are getting these credit cards is in actuality just the beginning of all your troubles. We don’t have any credit cards and we don’t want any. We have had our share don’t get me wrong, but we can now see that it is the quickest way to burying yourself in the long run.

People are living pay check to pay check and still want to live the life of royalty. All the while these people are sucking in the propaganda that the nation is doing so much better like little hoover or dust busters. The government is banking on the fact that you will continue believing this tripe and helping to perpetuate our precarious situation by doling out the credit cards whenever you get the inclination to do so.
