Arguments As To Why Blacks Don’t Deserve Respect

I constantly read comments from some self serving white person calling themselves  “white brother” or some other asinine name, who uses the age old racist talking points to explain why the black community is constantly in despair. It is always under the guise that blacks are so criminal, so uneducated, such separatists and so racist against themselves that they don’t deserve any respect.

They will always claim that somehow blacks are only 13% of the population yet swear that we commit 60 , 70% or some other astronomically incorrect amount of the crimes. Where do they get these statistics?  Yet they fail to mention how Black folks are 13% of the population with an unemployment rate of 11.2%. according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. How about explaining Devah Pager’s study which showed that white men with a felony record and only a high school diploma received a call back rate for employment of 17%.  Yet, black men with a four year college degree and NO criminal record got a call back rate of only 15%. So instead of them touting their bogus crime stats why don’t they explain why blacks are unemployed and get called back for less jobs than a white high school graduating felon?

Then spout that black unity is about black supremacy or being black first and American second. It seems that these people want to use the white power or white pride as a base from which to judge black unity. We see that these people screaming white pride are coming from a position where they believe that pride in their race somehow equates to every other race be inferior to their race. Unfortunately black power/unity comes from a totally different mindset.

For one thing white people invented the retarded rules about race. And are the ones who decided that blacks were of course black sub-human beings. Then when pushed they decided we were black, full human then American. Not only that, they also created an environment where being black was a bad thing which carried NO power or clout. So in light of this, blacks had to fight that negative with a positive about black pride, unity and power. White’s also equate the term American with white such as the “all American boy or girl.” So until we ALL equate American with any race, blacks will always be black first and American second.

It never fails that as soon as they get started with those first two whammies they pull this one out as well. Sure blacks may have jacked up schools and their education isn’t as thorough as white kids, but hey blacks here have better education than a lot of third world countries. Just because blacks have access to this second class education that might or might not be better than some third world country, they should shut their pie hole. For one thing, THIS IS NOT A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY!  So why are we comparing our education to theirs?  Wouldn’t it be best if we compared black education to their white counterparts in this country?

Shouldn’t blacks have the same access to quality education as every white person? I guess since those black schools are that top notch we should begin turning all white schools into the same out dated, ramshackle buildings, out of date books, and understaffed, underfunded, unqualified shit holes as well. But then how would they be able to qualify their next assertion that blacks are inferior in education if EVERYONE were to receive this bull shit they call the best education blacks could ask for?

My favorite by far is if you don’t like how things are here, why don’t you just go back to… in Africa. They name the one place in Africa with the latest horrible genocide, famine or drought. They never say something like go back to Equatorial Guinea, Seychelles, Botswana, and Mauritius, Gabon or the island of Reunion. The point is that they never name any of the countries on the CONTINENT of Africa that happen to have a good standard of living. Yet, would get totally offended when you counter with telling them to go back to South Ossetia, or Georgia where they seem to be having some war issues. The first thing they say is that they are not Ossetian or Georgian, yet it made no difference that you don’t originate from any of those war torn African nations.

Another good one is no one oppresses black people but black people. If you let them tell it, blacks must run all the businesses that keep us unemployed at twice the rate of whites. Blacks must run all the banks who decide they will give blacks a higher interest rate on loans even with all things being equal or better between them and their white counterpart. Blacks must be handling all the school resources in order to continuously keep the schools in the black areas dilapidated while the white schools have MORE than enough to ensure they are educated properly. Yep, sounds to me like blacks are their own worst enemy. We should boycott black people who run all those things that keep us from our goal of the American dream. Damn you all and your infernal illogic!

I could not finish this article because it didn’t take long to realize you are using the same old arguments that try to throw the reader off the track and thus focus on side issues that have only a passing relevance to the topic at hand.

You base your entire argument on the premise that white control everything, including blacks’ ability to create their own opportunities. So what if a black man can’t get a loan from a white banker? Why are there not more BLACK banks that will fill this void?

So what if an educated black man gets less respect in the hob market than a white criminal? Why are there not more BLACK firms doing the hiring? Whites have a right to hire those who “look like them” (That’s the SOTOMAYER PRINCIPLE, you know?).

As for the numbers on the amount of criminals in jails, I would imagine researchers only need to check the rolls at the prisons and jails and they will probably find out that the numbers don’t lie.

Black people seem to feel that the world owes us an opportunity, and that we should not only fight for a level playing field, but to make sure that we are the only ones playing.

It is my contention that the MAIN reason blacks don’t get more respect is because we just don’t EARN it.

  2. Stephen Frazier,

PUHLEASE!!! Why don’t you answer those questions for us all? Why aren’t there more black banks? Uhm, could it be that they don’t get the funding or what you tell me?

And why aren’t there more black businesses? Could the answer be tied in with why there aren’t more black banks? See you work from the same old tired argument that somehow it is black people’s fault that they can’t break into a white run society. Or are you telling me that society is NOT run by the white majority?

See the problem is that no one said that blacks are OWED anything. I said that blacks DESERVE the same chances as everyone else. And while we are pointing out your crazy arguments, if there are no black banks and black men are NOT getting as much respect as white criminals then wouldn’t that right there answer your question as to why there aren’t more black businesses? Think about it friend.

So it’s not a matter of “so what” like you seem to think. It’s a matter of WHY! Why in the hell should blacks have to go to black businesses in order to be respected? We don’t live in some black bubble inside the white US of A. We live in this country as full tax paying citizens like everyone else and deserve equal treatment.

But according to you and a lot of others just asking for things to be equal is begging for a handout. If the treatment white people get is a handout then by all means I and every other minority needs that freaking type of handout. And just to let you know, I don’t agree with everything said by Sotomayor or anyone else at any table be they civil rights or otherwise. I DO have my own point of view thank you.

As far as whites being able to hire whoever they want is racism if they decide the only deciding factor for hiring is that the person is white. And numbers don’t lie for how many people are in jail, but the justice system as a whole DOES! According to a study by the DOJ, they found that the justice was indeed wrought with inequality and racism. So I guess the numbers just might not tell the whole truth.

And my contention is that black people don’t get more respect because people such as yourself think that we don’t deserve it. We shouldn’t have to do any more to earn respect than any other race of person. If by that they do nothing to garner respect as in white privilege then we shouldn’t have to do one iota more than that. That is what is meant by equality. Blacks should have the same chance to thrive or fail as any other race.

So I would behoove you to FINISH reading the post before you spout of with your lack of knowledge and your all too easy to counter non points!

To start my comment I am white. Now I am saying this trusting that it will not matter in this debate. OK there are stereotypes in the world for a reason and it comes from examples happening over and over again. I have nothing against black people. I DO however have a large problem against the large majority of what black people are trying to carve out for themselves. This whole “the world owes me something because we were once slaves.” Yes black people were once slaves in America and mistreated badly, but Noone in this day and age owes black people anything for that sufferage from the past and that mentality has got to go. We are living in an age where people are trying to be unified but racism comes from all angles. Well for example, I hate modern day rap. Not because a black man is successful, but because modern day rap tends to follow a stereotype of sex, drugs, alcohol, murder, and lack of hardwork for a decent life and an attitude comes with it that it is owed. YES again I will say that is the stereotype because that is what sells. I have great respect for ALL hardworking people, and NO respect for stereotype cookie cutters that fall into that. It’s a stereotype because A LOT OF PEOPLE DO IT!!!

  4. And white people being racists is a stereotype as well because a lot of white people are racist. A lot of white people are racist because they think that a black person saying that there is a lot of racism in the white community is little more than black people saying the world owes them some thing. If a lot of white people were racists enough to enslave black people for nothing more than the color of their skin, if white people are racist enough to deny black people their humanity because of nothing more than the fact that they are black, then it stands to reason that a lot of white people are racist enough to deny black people employment, housing, justice, opportunities, humanity to this day. It might be a stereotype of white people. But if so, it is because A LOT OF WHITE PEOPLE DO IT!!!

  5. Good one Brotherpeacemaker. This is the fallacy that we all have to live under. That black people aren’t owed anything because of the suffrage of our ancestors. Can this person tell me why we have laws giving preferences to military people for housing, jobs in government and healthcare? I guess it is because of the sacrifices they were made to bear.

So, is it safe to say that black people were FORCED to make sacrifices, such as PAY, FREEDOM AND HUMANITY? And if so, who should pay all the back pay to these people? Or should everyone just forget it? Can I decide a month after buying a pair of shoes at Macy’s on my Macy’s credit card that what Macy’s really wants is a handout. And feeling this I shouldn’t have to pay. Will you agree with me, because after all it was in the past that I took the shoes? Or will I be another bad debtor to you who needs my credit score damaged?

You see, just because it happens in the past A) doesn’t mean that we can ignore, forget or pretend that it is all good now. B) doesn’t mean that it is no longer a debt that was created.

Just because you don’t have to suffer with the ongoing saga of YOUR racism. Remember white people being racist is a stereotype…you know where I’m going with that. Doesn’t mean that it is OK to just let it continue out of the idea that YOU and folks like YOU don’t want to hear about it, don’t feel involved in it, don’t feel it is important or whatever you would like to add.

There happens to be a lot of damn racism going on in this country for idiots such as yourself to sit and act as if it is a thing of the past. Please find a new line besides it is in the past. That crap is tired as hell. And just like you are tired of hearing black people whine about racism, I am tired of white people like you whining about the lack there of or how it is in the past. GRRRRR!
