Should Religious Beliefs Trump Legal Rights?

People such as Rose Marie Belforti pictured above, the town clerk in Ledyard NY decided that she just can’t give out marriage licenses to gay couples due to her religion so she did just that, told a lesbian couple they will need to come back and get that license when one of her subordinates could do it for them.

Now, unfortunately I don’t believe that she was hired to a job in government due to her religion or based on her religion.  Her religion is her religion and that is something for her to keep to herself at her home.  She actually has no right to bring her philosophical beliefs to the workplace and infringe on others rights.  Belforti says state law “protects my right to hold both my job and my beliefs.”

Where state law DOES protect her right to hold her beliefs, it DOESN’T protect her from failing to do her job.  That right there should have this fool kicking up dust all the way to the unemployment office where someone there should deny her service because their god says only pretty people need be served.  And you know what I’m talkin’ bout’, just look at her.  And my god says it is my right to call it like I see it!

The bible says in Genesis 3:16 – “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children.  So me being a nurse, would she be in support of me denying her or her daughter’s call for pain medication during the delivery of a child.  Should I say that in good Christian faith, I can’t get her any pain medication nor call an anesthesiologist due to my Christian beliefs which says that women should be in extreme pain during childbirth?  And that her or her daughter will have to wait eight hours or more until my shift ends before they can have their pain alleviated due to my beliefs, is that acceptable to her.

People are so hypocritical.  It is becoming much more prevalent these days.  I want to deny people rights they have under the law based on my fucked up views of religion etc.  All the while expecting others to respect their rights not only to do everything they want to do that complies with the law.  She would never understand a teacher at her daughter’s school saying that he can’t teach her because his religious views say that women shouldn’t be allowed to be educated.  And that her daughter will need to wait until she can get into another teacher’s class who will tolerate females being educated.  She would expect this male teacher be fired, or disciplined in some way.

This woman should be fired.  It is not her place to bring her religion to work.  It is not her right to force her beliefs on anyone else.  It IS her job to hand out marriage licenses not to administer religious teaching.  And it is high time that we put a stop to these people who feel that their rights trump everyone else’s rights.  There is nothing written in the constitution placing anyone person’s rights above another.  Well except when we are dealing with black folks, but that’s another story isn’t it.

Where does it stop?  Do we have to be subject to others views of the bible which can be pretty damaging?  When does the stoning start?  Do I get to tell my boss that even though I am required to work on the Sabbath, I won’t and I should not only keep my job but be paid because they can’t infringe upon my religious rights?  And then should I be able to stone people to death for working on the Sabbath?  Because we all know that in Numbers 15:32-56 it does say that Moses was told by god to stone a man to death for gathering sticks on the Sabbath.  Hey, it’s my right under the bible and the state can’t stand in the way of my religious rights!

We have to set precedence or there is no stopping the things that one can do under the guise of bible worship.  I can stone my son to death for being insolent as it gives me full right to do in Deuteronomy 21:18-21.  This crap is going way too far and it is infringing on the rights of other humans to live their lives as the constitution said We hold these truths to be self–evident, That all men are created equal, That they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, That among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.– That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, Deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

It clearly says that the government and I would assume the workers there in, derive their powers from the consent of the governed NOT from the bible, god nor Christian churches or any other churches.  So it is about time to knock some sense into these people.  Kick her butt out of that position and place someone there that understands that the power they possess are given by the people who consist of gays, blacks, Asians, whites, Muslims, Hispanics and every other race, religion or creed.  Come on people get over your petty discrimination already!  And that means you Rose Marie Belforti!

M O R O N – That Spells Tea Party

Waaahhh, I only have 400 thousand dollars left over after feeding my family!  Is what Tea Party congressman John Fleming’s cried on Jansing & Co. this morning about Obama’s plan to tax the wealthy as much as the middle class.  Can this idiot be for real?

We have people and a lot of them in this country as well as in the Tea Party who have to “get along” with more like 40 thousand dollars or less a year and he is crying over 400 thousand.  That just pisses me off to the core.  This is the selfish bullshit that we are dealing with in some of the worst economic times ever.

Not only is this Tea Party sucker bitching and moaning about paying more taxes, but he and his cohorts are also saying that we need to cut spending on programs for the poor as well as “raise” taxes on those same poor folks.  Because lord knows those poor suckers who after feeding their families are left with a good 200 dollars for the year as income should be forking out at least a hundred and fifty of that to pay down the deficit consisting mainly of tax cuts for John Fleming and those like his selfish ass.

Poor John Fleming sitting there in his million dollars or better home with his family just trying to survive and here we are trying to create class warfare with his kind by taking more of those 400 thousand dollar crumbs of his is after his businesses brought in 6.3 million dollars for the year.  I guess when he said 400 thousand; he totally forgot the 173 thousand a year he also gets by being a congressman.  But, why split hairs, we know he is just on the cusp of the poor house; and with that kind of money coming in every year, who can remember it all.

The class warfare is that the Republican and Tea Party believes that not only do the rich need to pay less into the society that is putting the money in their pockets, but somehow the poor should be paying more to ensure that they have the means to pay less.  How sick is that?  This has been a long time coming and people better start looking at the writing on the wall before it’s too late.

Even Jansing told the idiot that he position to the majority of America isn’t very sympathetic.  He could care less because his answer was the “class warfare never created one job.”  But, you know what Mr. Fleming, a tax cut for a selfish wealthy bastard never created one job either.  In fact the years that we had all these tax cuts for the rich, the only thing that happened was that we started losing jobs faster than ever.

Because what Fleming doesn’t understand is that he has the whole economic structure backwards.  He believes that those at the top or company owners create jobs when in fact it is those at the bottom who create jobs.  It probably sounds nuts but hear me out.  If I open a lemonade stand, I have to have a demand for my lemonade from the thirsty people looking for a good deal on a cold drink on a hot day.

Neither Mr. Fleming nor his cohorts are cruising the streets looking for lemonade as these people only make up one percent of the population anyway.  It is the hard working people that are my customers.  And any kid with a paper route, lemonade stand or girl scout selling cookies understands that you aren’t going to do any business if you have no customers or your customers have no money to spend.

Mr. Flemings owns a lot of Subway sandwich shops and he isn’t going to tell me that somehow if he has lower taxes and the poor have higher taxes he is going to do some brisk business.  In fact we all know that he will do very poorly.  If the people have no money or less money frivolous spending at sub shops will decline.  Those moneyless people will be better off buying a loaf of bread and a package of baloney at the super market for the price of one sub sandwich.  So, who is fooling who here?

But, you see it doesn’t just stop there.  He and his cohorts want to cut all government programs so that those poor folks won’t even get food stamps to buy their bread and baloney.  But, unfortunately for Mr. Fleming, they won’t have money for food, but they damn sure won’t have money for his stupid submarine sandwich.

I guess we’ll see his stupid face in the soup kitchen line right along with the rest of us.  You can’t build a business with moneyless customers.  And if your customers have no money, you my friend will eventually have no money either.

Trickle Down Knowledge

I just have to speak up on this atrocity that is being thrust upon me by these people who are running for the top slot on the Republican ticket.  Can anyone anywhere tell me why I or any other minority would vote for any of these, these “people”?  And I use the term people very lightly, as the old black sentinel would just call them idiots and be done with it.  But, I want to save that for later.  Not just pointing out that they are all raging mouth foaming idiots right away.  I also really want to try and understand what they have to offer.

I watched the debate like any open minded voter who wishes to ensure that there isn’t something better than the current Loser in chief.  I am interested in alternatives, but damn.  These people don’t give you anything to work with.  I wanted to pull my hair out as it felt like my ears were bleeding listening to this nonsensical drivel that seems to spurt from their mouths like the fountain out in front of the Bellagio in Vegas, but, not at all as pleasing and definitely nowhere near as entertaining.

It’s as if these people fell out of Palin’s ass or something.  She is stupid and they are flaming stupid.  So, now that you know how I feel about the candidates, let’s begin to break down the talking points for you and how these are why I can’t vote for any of them, thus FORCING me to say Obama will more than likely get my vote.  No matter how much that last statement gets my goat it just has to be that way.

From Ponzi schemes, two dollar gasoline, no mandates and everything in between is what was discussed in this debate.  Where do these people come from, is what I want to know.  And not in the literal sense as I know they hail from different states but, where do they come up with these ideas and do they honestly believe them.  I just can’t fathom that Michelle Bachmann believes she can somehow without government “mandated” pricing bring gas down under two dollars a gallon.  Give me a break already.  Is this a chicken in every pot statement or what?

Anyhow, Michelle Bachmann says she can get gas prices down below two dollars a gallon.  Ok, I’ll bite.  Anyone with simple knowledge of this so called free market understands that is a joke.  She thinks that drilling here at home will somehow reduce the gas prices here at home.  Oooookaaaay, right.  I guess she doesn’t understand that the open markets dictate the price.  Or maybe she is saying she is going to mandate or dictate prices for gas at home.  Wait everyone on the stage was against mandates.

Ok, so we should all understand by now that you can’t as president just say gas should be… and it magically happens.  This isn’t a Lucky Charms commercial here.  Gas prices are dictated by the open market like corn, wheat and everything else.  Even if you found oil in your backyard, it goes on the open market and as consumption rises so do prices.  India and China are coming on strong for that oil.  So, thus prices rise.  And even if we somehow flood the market as Canada plans to do with our new pumped oil, OPEC still has a hand in setting the price.  And unless Bachmann plans to overtake OPEC, she aint’ dictating any prices to them.  And any oil she drills out of the Everglades ain’t going straight to any gas pumps in the U.S.  So, let’s call that one bullshit and move along.

Everyone hates a mandate and plans to throw out Obamacare asap.  For Romney this is just trash talk.  He is basically saying, it’s good for my people in Massachusetts but not for others.  He even said that Obamacare was trying to cover 100% of the people where he only covered 80%.  So, some people have to fall through the cracks to make it Ok?  Anyhow, Obamacare didn’t go far enough; let’s just throw that out there.  So, we have all these people saying that the government shouldn’t force people to buy insurance.  Yet, it was OK, for the government to tell us we HAD to buy car insurance and homeowners insurance.  Give me a break.

Why is any of that OK, just not health insurance?  And don’t tell me it is state instead of Federal, as being forced to do something, doesn’t make one iota of difference how you are forced or by whom.  It is making me spend money anyway and probably a good thing as well.  As if I hit someone’s car, I am sure glad I have insurance.  Just the way I would be glad to have insurance if I have a broken leg.  But, these idiots won’t or can’t see any of this or maybe they just pretend not to.

Everyone on the stage is hell bent on trickle-down economics.  We see that crap never worked.  It didn’t work under Reagan; it didn’t work under George Sr. and sure as hell didn’t work under G.W.  So, exactly why is it that these fools are advocating doing exactly what we did to get where we are now?  Can anyone say insanity?  Just like Einstein said, Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.  But isn’t that what conservatism is?  Conservatism is the preservation of traditions.  Progressive is change.

Change doesn’t happen all at once nor does it happen without any problems.  I am not saying that Obama brought about the changes we need nor did he do it without problems.  He is inept to me but that is another story.  We don’t need to go back to the traditions of the conservative party.  They have nothing new to show us.  It’s the same old, I tried nothing and I’m all out of ideas, again.  This is a shame.  The more I watch these people the more I understand that some people don’t want anything to ever change.  Let’s stagnate like standing water in a bucket.  Get all full of muck, stink and filth.

Let’s flow or go with the flow and change.  Just because we have an idiot in office doesn’t mean we can’t help him to fix what is broken, not go back to the old broken because the new item isn’t quite working right.  That doesn’t make sense.  My new car has a funny smell, so let’s get into the old car with the busted engine.  Not smart.  The conservatives/tea party whoever these people fancy themselves are obstructionists sitting around saying let’s ensure no one can do anything different, and then point out how nothing is working.  Really smart strategy, NOT.  So again, why would I vote for any of these people?

Who Cares About Hunger When You Have A Meat Suit

The sheer audacity of some people is a line that I seem to be repeating consistently these days.  I know that I haven’t written an article in quite some time as I have some family affairs to deal with at this time which to me were and are more pressing.  Anyhow, this is about the MTV music awards.  Now mind you I don’t watch any music awards as they are all about stupidity and music that I could care less to listen to.  Not to mention about supposed stars that I could care less to neither see nor listen too.

But, in watching the news, which I DO like to partake in, I saw that Lady Gaga wore a meat suit to these stupid awards.  Now most of the time I could care less like I was saying, but for some reason this got on my nerves like nothing else, well maybe unlike watching bits and pieces of some stupid Rock Hudson film this weekend.  And I just had, and I mean HAD to spew my disgust and issues regarding this fool.  I know that people will tell me that she is just pushing the envelope sort of like Madonna did in her time.  Even though one can or could argue that at least Madonna had some talent to go along with her nutty trend setting.

But for me this fool has neither talent nor taste.  And that is a bad combination to say the least.  Now let’s get a move on to what pisses me off about this so called fashion statement.  We are in a recession and people are finding it hard enough to put food on the table and this idiot wears around food like a dress.  I am not a PETA fan nor am I a big fan of meat, especially red meat.  But, my problem with this chick is that there are so many starving and hungry people and she busts out with an outfit saying who cares that you’re hungry, I have so much money I can wear food until it rots off of me.

I find it insensitive and incredibly tasteless.  I understand that people will cry about the fact that she isn’t saying anything with her dress of meat.  That she is just trying to be outrageous and push the envelope as far as it will go until it literally disintegrates.  I feel that people should be able to do what they want UNLESS it is totally distasteful, insensitive or just plain stupid.  And her antics cover all three.  She should think of those listeners who might be struggling with what the Bush administration referred to as having food insecurity.

But unfortunately to me the only thing that she did was give a middle finger to all the starving or should I say food insecure people all over the world.  Actually I could not care less if this chick had more talent than all the supposed celebrities in the world.  It would not in my humble opinion make her any less ridiculous for her tasteless meaty antics.  Just my two cents and that is all that matters to me.

Hate Is Hate There Is No Middle Ground

Marriage is a human right

There are just a lot of things that are bothering me right now.  And not all of them have to do with racism.  I guess I will just jump right in and rant and vent all my disgust with the world or at least this country right now.  First of all how in the hell is denying gays the right to be just like everyone else NOT hate?  I am trying to figure that out.

After the states that had gay marriage referendums on the ballots actually voted the right down anti gay marriage people came out praising the people for doing the right thing and said that it wasn’t about hate.  Well when blacks were denied the right to marry white people was that NOT about hate?  Wasn’t the whole reason blacks couldn’t marry outside their race due to the fact that some if not most white people hated blacks and wished to keep them out of their blood lines?

So now it is OK to tell part of the population that “you’re totally not equal to me” so it is fine for me to deny you the right to marriage.  I think it is your god given right to believe that gay people are going to hell or that you disagree with what they do behind closed doors.  It is even your right as a clergy person to say that you will not participate in gay marriages.  But since marriage is a legal contract and has nothing to do with a church, the church or any religious beliefs have no business dictating law.

Now this is the ultimate in mixing church and state.  Yet you have all these silly ass people screaming about the founding fathers and the constitution who see no problem with this travesty which is totally ignoring all that the constitution stands for.  For one the constitution allots for separation of church and state.  And the Bill of Rights gives everyone the right to the pursuit of happiness; it also states that ALL men/women are created equal.

How is everyone equal if you are telling some that they shouldn’t be given the same rights as you and I?  This is the same bullshit that is affecting black people.  We are all equal but when companies decide not to hire blacks, too bad.  They need to look for work elsewhere.  Or my favorite, we are all equal but if a company doesn’t want to include or equally represent blacks, blacks should start their own company.

And this crap about protecting marriage is just totally insane.  How is gay marriage going to affect my heterosexual marriage?  People keep saying that they want to defend marriage by denying gays marriage.  HUH?  If you wanted to defend marriage then you would outlaw divorce.  Or better yet outlaw cheating as that seems to destroy more marriages than gays getting married somewhere you don’t even know about.

I wish someone would explain to me exactly how a gay marriage destroyed a heterosexual marriage to the point that we have to defend them from the gay ones.  This is just mind boggling.  I haven’t seen a gay marriage and don’t know any gays, or at least don’t think I do, who have gotten married.  And I bet the plethora of idiots who are voting to keep gays unequal don’t know of any gays who have or are marrying either.

The fact of the matter is, is that most of these people just don’t like the idea of homosexuality and therefore wish to punish those they feel go against their so called religious beliefs.  Well none of these people are holding fast to their religious beliefs anyhow.  Since we know that the bible says judge not less ye be judged.  So why not let god deal with the gay people.  If he felt that what they do is so against him wouldn’t he have smote them already?  Aren’t we ALL children of god?  So get a clue and stop trying to play god under some phony fallacy of a moral compass.  Hate is hate, is hate!  There is no middle ground.

Why Give Roman Polanski A Pass?

What in the hell are people thinking?  If Michael Vick were to have fled the country after killing those dogs would we have a flood of people protesting against his extradition in order to face the music?  Of course not!  I mean people are opposed to the man actually working again, let alone getting away without punishment.

Yet, Roman Polanski actually has a gaggle of people crying foul about this disgusting pedophile being extradited to face the music finally for raping a 13 year old girl.  Now I don’t know about anyone else but hasn’t this man been allowed to be on the run for far too long?  I mean he has pretty much lived his freaking life.  And just now we want to attempt to nab him.  HA!

I understand that his victim no longer wishes to see him get justice for what he did and hey those are her views.  But you know what; she isn’t the one who decides whether or not this perv gets what he deserves.  Maybe she has finally made peace in her life with what occurred and doesn’t want to drudge up the past.  But that doesn’t mean that he should pay no penalty.

Now back to this gaggle of people protesting.  Their main complaint is that Mr. Polanski is such a great director and so talented that he shouldn’t have to worry about those skeletons from his past.  And I have also heard that his mother was killed in a concentration camp.  As if any of this matters.  It didn’t matter to Texas that a man was clearly mentally disabled when they put him to death for his crimes.  So why does it matter that he has had adversities in his past.  Haven’t we all?

I don’t think it is about the statute of limitations on the crime since he did plead guilty.  By admitting guilt he was forgoing the need for a trial.  All that was left was the put the dude behind bars like any other criminal.  I see this as a serious double standard.  Maybe other rapists or pedophiles never intend to rape or “seduce” any more children either.  And maybe they are skilled at their profession, so why should they have to pay for their crimes?

I guess the hypocrisy gets me.  We cry about the fact that so many perverts do very little time after assaulting children.  Then turn around and want to make exceptions for those we see as somehow better than the run of the mill criminal.  Would he be receiving this same treatment if he were let’s say, Spike Lee?  Would that guy get a pass?

We know this guy couldn’t even get a pass from people when he put it straight to Clint Eastwood about his portrayal of WWII.  People wanted to string him up for his comments to Clint.  But who is above the law?  Who can obstruct justice without as much as a blink of an eye?  Where is the outrage?  Where is the disgust at what he did?

I guess it is just me who thinks that we should NOT look lightly upon these perverts who can and will destroy lives when given the chance.  People say that he hasn’t done this again, but how do we know for sure.  He might have left a trail of 13 year old victims around Europe who were either too afraid to tell or cowed out of it.

Maybe having equality could start with the little things such as making sure that you receive the same punishment for your crime no matter the criminals, race, creed, wealth or religion.  But we know that is just wishful thinking.   SOME of those with status will always be able to skirt justice.  Because it is people who wish they were like them, who will allow them this privilege.   If you feel that he shouldn’t have to face the music, why?

Tea Party Or Pity Party

I haven’t felt much like talking about politics since the election. But, this tea bag business has got me fuming and I feel the need to vent to all of you. I don’t have a problem with protest as to me that is what makes one a good citizen. Letting the powers that be know when you are unhappy with a certain treatment or behavior that needs changing.

But the problem I am having with this tea bag bullshit is that it makes no sense. Where were all these people with their tea bags and signs when Bush was getting us into this mess? Are those crickets I hear chirping in the background? I guess they were too busy calling everyone unpatriotic and then telling them to support our president to do any protesting.

I have seen signs that people have their children holding saying things like “Obama is spending my future earnings.” OK, I can go with that. But where were these people and their children when Bush was running up the deficit to astronomical amounts for the last eight years? Were they too busy reaping the benefits of all those tax cuts for the rich? Oh, that’s right these are the fools who don’t make over 250 g’s. They are the ones who make minimum wage but feel that the trickle down effect Bush tried will work if we give it adequate time.

I know that these people don’t really believe that this economic fiasco just started the day Obama got into office. And I know damn well that these are the same people who if we go by their signs and let free market reign, will be crying about their lost job. Help me government. That is exactly what they would be running around saying if we allow businesses to just start going under. Now don’t get me wrong this is exactly what I wanted. Let them go down and take these losers with them.

But the problem is now, that we have a bunch of people with selective memories who feel that somehow everyone can keep their jobs, we can fix our infrastructure, fix our health care, fix our school system, continue two failed wars, make up for the housing, stock and financial markets crisis all while giving everyone or at least the rich a free ride on taxes. Not to mention cut business taxes and allow them to have offshore tax shelters.

How does any part of this plan or non-plan make any sense to anyone at all? This is utter idiocy. But, isn’t that the same idiocy we have seen out of these jackasses for the last eight years? What are they proposing that is different than then? They actually have built a following of nuts by telling them we need to continue the failed plans of the last eight years in order to repair the damage of the last eight years. UH, WHAT? Can you run that by me again?

And if that isn’t enough, they still seem to be following and listening to a back alley junky (Rush Limbaugh). What is wrong with these people? I don’t know if Obama will succeed and I don’t know if he is on the right path. But the one thing I DO KNOW is that we can’t continue the last eight years of stupidity. As that is what we KNOW is the wrong thing.

*SIGH* Can’t we just put aside the petty crap for a couple of years and try to patch up the tears and rips that Bush and his clowns put in the fabric of our society.  Which makes me wonder if this is a tea party with real background or just a pity party aimed at crying over the loss of power.

Help, I Can’t Live On 500K

I was listening to “the talk of the nation” on NPR today. They had investigative reporter Alan Salkin on talking about a piece he did for the New York Times called “You try living on 500K in this town.” He was referring to the proposed cap on pay to bankers and CEO’s for these banks receiving bailout money. He investigated why it is impossible for these folks to live on 500K when they had appearances to keep, expensive homes in the city and the Hamptons plus nannies and doormen to pay.

Now I totally understand that he was just reporting the numbers that these people shell out while earning two or three million dollars a year. What I was dumbfounded by were the comments that people who were trying to defend the lifestyles of these rich yet not so famous CEO’s. I know that there are always two sides to every story, which is the reason Mr. Salkin wrote the piece. But, no amount of sugary explanations can make this make this palatable.

The one comment that had me practically screaming in my car was a lady who felt that we should cut them some slack as this country isn’t a socialist one. That if there is money to be made those CEO’s should have every opportunity to make as much of it as they can. Let capitalism work and if that means they get rich then so be it. She also felt that when they ask for handouts they shouldn’t have to jump through hoops or be penalized because there is nothing wrong with being wealthy.

Now, she wants me to believe that I and everyone else should cut them some slack, but when does anyone cut slack to poor people or black people for that matter? When has a poor person who wanted a government handout ever been cut some slack? When have they ever been able to continue a lavish lifestyle while digging in Uncle Sam’s pockets for food stamps and welfare?

Yet, somehow I am supposed to understand that these rich moneybag CEO’s have a lifestyle to uphold with a large mortgage on two possibly three houses who need help should not have to worry about losing their lifestyles. But, those who are poor are somehow to blame for their circumstances and should be held totally accountable. Not to mention those poor people should have to suffer under the most stringent of rules just to get a whopping four hundred dollars a month or better yet three hundred or so dollars a month in food stamps.

Sure, that is understandable. Let those getting billions do so with no impunity while those wanting mere pennies in contrast should be subjected to the most rigorous raking over the hot coals. Lord knows those penny beggars are somehow more likely to be cheaters. With this type of attitude running amok in our society is there any doubt as to why disparity is not only allowed but encouraged to flourish?

I agree with her on one thing which is that we should allow the free market capitalism to work for these people. Meaning that they felt it was appropriate for them to get ungodly amounts of money while the bubble was rising and now that it has popped and is speeding back to earth, they should suffer the fallout. And better yet, don’t ask for government money if you don’t want to be subject to the same rigors of scrutiny that everyone else is subject to while asking for a handout.

To Eat In Mississippi Just Step On The Scales

You might have heard the news that a Mississippi law maker wants to pass a law making it illegal for restaurants to serve food to clinically obese people. How stupid is this? I can understand wanting to help people lose weight because I am all for controlling issues of weight and any other unhealthy problem people may face. It doesn’t matter how unhealthy you are as long as you aren’t obese.

What I don’t like is the fact that they are going to go on looks alone to base this law. How about the skinny person who has a cholesterol level of like 350 and is sliding towards a heart attack shouldn’t they be kept from the trough as well? They are just as or unhealthier than the obese person yet it is OK as long as they are skinny. No matter that the plate of greasy burger and fries is the last straw and he or she walks out of the restaurant and drops dead of a heart attack. Who should be to blame for this?

What about the bulimic person who may be thin but due to the binging and purging they are extremely unhealthy. Should the restaurant not be helping to feed this unhealthy eating disorder by supplying them with the food they want to binge just so they can go home or somewhere else and purge it out somehow? Is the restaurant supposed to be able to deny helping them become even unhealthier even though they look normal and healthy?

Should the tanning shops now deny tans to those super tanned individuals who are ruining their skin and will undoubtedly have skin cancer in the future? Should every industry that might be aiding and abetting some behavior that could possibly lead to unhealthy outcomes be charged with regulating the persons partaking in it? What about football and the Super Bowl? They just came out with statistics that show that people are prone to stress related heart problems from watching the games. Should we now have a health screening for those who wish to watch the game live or in a pub etc.?

The problem is we can’t regulate what people do when it is legal for them to do it. This law maker is making a lot of assumptions about the people who are obese. The assumption is that the people are fat due to chronic over eating and that is it. What about the people who have glandular problems such as PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and endocrine problems such as thyroid conditions, parathyroid, pancreas, adrenal, pituitary and hypothalamus problems, diseases such as Cushing’s disease and lastly a plethora of certain drugs such as antidepressants and anti-seizure just to name a couple.

Yet we are going to trust whether or not a person is just a fat slob who is killing themselves with food to some waitress, waiter or greeter at a restaurant. The bill was authored by Senator W.T. Mayhall, Jr. Now this senator supposedly has a background in medicine which makes me ask the question how he can make such a stupid bill which certainly won’t help. At best it will be another way to subjugate people, obese people.

Ron Paul – Racist Babble or Forward Thinking?

Neither Ron Paul nor his supporters surprise me with the plethora of racially motivated speech that they babble. I recently did a post on the blatant racist nature of what Ron Paul stands for and what I got for that was a gaggle of racist Paul supporters who have nothing but racist rhetoric to spew much like their candidate.

I had one person who seemed to think that for a black not to not vote for Ron Paul would be for us to doom our brothers to stay in prison for drug crimes. Since supposedly Ron Paul would like to end the war on drugs and thus this somehow equates to blacks being let out of prison in droves. Now what makes this fool think that the black community wants to have criminals running free just because they are black? What about the whites who are in prison for drug crime are they going free as well, and is this the goal of the white community? So why should it be of such importance to the blacks?

Here are some other comments from Ron Paul showing his unending support for the black community. And I would hope that all Ron supporters who claim that he is FOR the black community would wake up and explain how these comments help us. And for that they can explain how these comments are not just more racist rhetoric that is constantly being hurled at us. Ron Paul is nothing more than a simple minded racist who is trying to play both sides of the fence. He is staying true to his racist brethren while blatantly trying his best to get a foot hold with black supporters who are woefully uneducated to the statements and real agenda of this man and his supporters.

Regardless of what the media tell us, most white Americans are not going to believe that they are at fault for what blacks have done to cities across America. The professional blacks may have cowed the elites, but good sense survives at the grass roots. Many more are going to have difficultly avoiding the belief that our country is being destroyed by a group of actual and potential terrorists — and they can be identified by the color of their skin. This conclusion may not be entirely fair, but it is, for many, entirely unavoidable.

Indeed, it is shocking to consider the uniformity of opinion among blacks in this country. Opinion polls consistently show that only about 5% of blacks have sensible political opinions, i.e. support the free market, individual liberty, and the end of welfare and affirmative action…. Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the “criminal justice system,” I think we can safely assume that 95% of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal.

If similar in-depth studies were conducted in other major cities, who doubts that similar results would be produced? We are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, but it is hardly irrational. Black men commit murders, rapes, robberies, muggings, and burglaries all out of proportion to their numbers.

Perhaps the L.A. experience should not be surprising. The riots, burning, looting, and murders are only a continuation of 30 years of racial politics. The looting in L.A. was the welfare state without the voting booth. The elite have sent one message to black America for 30 years: you are entitled to something for nothing. That’s what blacks got on the streets of L.A. for three days in April. Only they didn’t ask their Congressmen to arrange the transfer.

This entire spill was taken from the Daily Kos. I am only interested in finding out how with such statements this man could possibly be capable of doing good things to end the racial problems in America. He seems more adept at adding to the racial tensions by the use of his racial rhetoric than any thing else. Is this more racist babble or the forward thinking that most of his supporters keep speaking of. To me it sounds more like the speech of past and present racists. If any supporters would like to comment to these blatant racist statements please stay on topic as this Blog is not an open forum for hate speech.
