Thordaddy: White Privilege At Its Worst

theblacksentinel,

You act as if unequal workforce representation is self-evidently racist and sexist even though it represents nothing but the natural order of things all over the globe.

But WHY? Why do believe these things?

Why is unequal representation in the workforce in need of the kind of equality that requires government force? What will it accomplish and how does that translate into a good for society? How does an anti-white male program of discrimination, which violates the fundamental principles of your ideology, have the moral clout to perpetuate?

I doubt you’ll be able to answer my question as to why equal workforce representation through government coercion is a good thing. It just is and that’s all the rationale you need, right?

Number 1 – Why is unequal representation in the workforce in need of the kind of equality that requires government force?

Well that is pretty obvious. Given that The Civil Rights Act of 1871 which applies to public employment or employment involving state action prohibiting deprivation of rights secured by the federal constitution or federal laws through action under color of law. Title VII is the principal federal statute with regard to employment discrimination prohibiting unlawful employment discrimination by public and private employers, labor organizations, training programs and employment agencies based on race or color, religion, gender, and national origin. Basically this is stating that it is ILLEGAL to discriminate in hiring practices means that the government has a duty to enforce these laws by any means necessary.

Not to mention since The Civil Rights Act of 1871 none of the business sector actually followed the law. So it was obvious from the wanton law breaking that it was going to take an act of force to get companies to adhere to said laws. I guess Thordaddy would have us all still waiting to be able to participate in employment opportunities to this day. The market which is white dominated had and has not one compelling reason as to change and allow minorities to have access to opportunities. So unless Thordaddy is going to somehow convince us all that it is indeed fine to discriminate and deny groups of people their constitutionally given rights to be included in the workplace I will assume that he has nothing more to add to this conversation.

Number 2 – What will it accomplish and how does that translate into a good for society?

What a question. Anyhow, what it accomplishes is forcing the business sector which had no intention of letting minorities or women participate in their constitutional rights afforded ALL citizens by law to participate in the workforce. Whereby accomplishing a decrease in poverty which in turn makes a decrease in crime and other moral degradations. Yet we still won’t adhere to these laws thus blacks and other minorities continue to be left out of the opportunities regardless of the laws which have been in place since 1871. And he really thinks that somehow NOT doing anything will uplift our society as a whole.

Number 3 – does an anti-white male program of discrimination, which violates the fundamental principles of your ideology, have the moral clout to perpetuate?

Well according to his own silly questions he already stated that he didn’t feel that equality was fundamental to society. So why then should any of us worry about white men not being treated equally? Tell me Thordaddy, why is unequal representation in the workforce (for white men) in need of the kind of equality that requires government force? These are your words. How can you want to make things less equal for some then cry about the inequality to others. I suggest you visit the Government bureau of labor then you can show us all how white men are being discriminated against. Show us all the lack of white men in the workforce due to affirmative action.

Here I will get you started: More than 40 years after job discrimination was outlawed in the U.S., the wage gap between white men and just about everyone else persists. The one exception is Asian-American men, whose median wages were just 1% less than those of white men who worked full-time, year round, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics survey in 2005, the latest year for which this data are available.

Specifically, Black men, by contrast, earned 74% of the wages of white males; Hispanic men earned 58%. And with gender, Women, overall, are substantially lagging behind men in pay. Fulltime female employees earned 77% of all men’s median wages. Breaking it down in terms of race, Asian-American women earned 78% of the median annual pay of white men; white women earned 73%; black women, 63%; and Hispanic women, 52%. And just to dispel that myth you have that somehow white males are losing out on jobs because of black males taking advantage of affirmative action here are the numbers from the Census on working black males vs. working white males. It seems that the census says that 63% of white men are working and only 45% percent of black males have jobs.

And last but not least Throdaddy would like to know why equal workforce representation through government coercion is a good thing. Well it would be the same reason they coerce all children to go to school because coercing people into better actions actually helps our society to become better. Why do people like Thordaddy go around the blogosphere trying to coerce people into thinking as he does constantly? So according to Thordaddy the natural order of things is that white people be allowed to have unequal advantages over minorities.

But what more does anyone expect from a man reaping the benefits of white privilege to the point that he can tell everyone that the natural order of things is for whites to dominate completely and without resistance. So it would seem that anyone with eyes can see that blacks and especially not black men have any advantage over white men or white women for that matter in the workforce. I believe that I have given more than enough PROOF as laid out by our government for free for anyone with the wherewithal to go and look it up. Maybe the truth doesn’t matter and I am wasting my time trying to reason with the unreasonable.

  1. The flaw of AA is its fundamental premise that the African- American ancestors of African slaves are suffering like their descendants and therefore we who have not created any injustice must accede to this false notion of equal suffering. Only after this false and corrupt notion is thrown in the trash can African-American even begin to try and assert the morality of AA which is blatant racial and sexist discrimination by any other name.

  2. Mike,

You’re right, but no one can mistake the point to which theblacksentinel did not respond.

His retort that AA doesn’t really help African-American descendants of African slaves, but rather, helps white women is just an additional rationale for abolitioning AA. It’s sexism by any other name.

But the main point is that the fundamental premise upon which AA stands is the idea that the African-American descendants of African slaves have suffered equally (and continue to suffer equally) to their ancestors. This is a false notion that nevertheless must be perpetuated in order for the advantages of AA to perpetuate.

It is when one counters this false notion that an end game to this blatant racial and sexist discrimination must be entertained and this is not in the interest of those like theblacksentinel.

  3. theblacksentinel and engineer,

First, I will apologize to theblacksentinel for mistaking you for a male. But, I was under the impression that “progressives” didn’t think such things mattered?

But more importantly, neither one of you has rebutted my original statement which was the known fact that AA is premised on the notion that blacks of today suffer equally to their black ancestors of the slave era. THIS IS A FALSE NOTION.

tbs tried to mask this premise with a contemporary justification that posited as its effect the elevation of white women.

The engineer tried to mask this premise with the notion of “white privilege” and the bewildering discovery that whites could not see their whiteness as being a substantial advantage in an ALL WHITE SOCIETY.

Will either one of you refute the fundamental premise of AA and how it then allows you to argue for its perpetual existence?

As of now, both have made substantial arguments for the abolishment of AA as it hasn’t done what it claimed it could do while also being an explicitly anti-white male program of discrimination. Whether it effects me personally is irrelevant (it doesn’t as it doesn’t for most whites), but the fact remains that it betrays the fundamental principles of progressivism. On that point alone it is worthy of dismissal.

  5. theblacksentinel,

I guess I shouldn’t have thought you were ready to step outside your echo chamber, but it is you that I believe posited evolutionary theory to be truth and thus your ACCEPTANCE of the idea that black man descended from ape. I don’t accept this premise and yet you claim that makes me racist?

    Are you really that dense?

I believe black man as well as white man as well as all man descended from God. You need to quit being such a sheep to your incoherent belief system.

  6. theblacksentinel,

Here is proof that AA is far more than your euphemistic regard for it.

According to you, such a discrepancy in hiring (17+%) versus population (13%) is self-evident proof of discrimination. And you would be right because such discrepancy is the result of AA which is self-evident proof of anti-white male discrimination.

Why should someone fear a dishonestly pissed-off “angry black woman?”

  7. theblacksentinel,

Do you and your lackeys really think the “racist” label has any clout these days? The label is the first indication that truth is in short supply in these parts.

Post just one “racist” comment of mine?

You stomp your feet claiming that I haven’t provided you government statistics about the original premise underlying AA? Now how would I go about doing that? Are there “statistics” on why AA originated?

Why did AA originate and did it having NOTHING to do with slavery? This is your claim and its preposterous.

Next, that clown engineer pulls a quote in which he implies racism, you clap like a child at his discovery, and then I show you to be the fool that believes in the black man’s descent from ape.

All the while, engineer still has yet to answer how a white person in an ALL WHITE SOCIETY detects his white privilege in a sea of whiteness and whiteness’s privileges?

Then, I give you an article that shows blacks overrepresented in the government workforce, which by your own belief system is a self-evident sign of discrimination, and because it is the “right” type of discrimination, it can gladly be ignored while you spread the rest of your blacks are victim propaganda.

Anywho, you don’t even have the courage to post an intellectual thrashing of your shodding claims.

    theblacksentinel,

You have here a global soapbox and yet we still hear of the legion of oppression you must face daily. You can even fib, insinuate, exaggerate and contradict yourself and some people will applaud you.

    Why did AA originate?

    Here’s a good start

To claim AA has “nothing” to do with slavery or the continued equal suffering of their black descendants is beyond disingenuous. What is the ORIGINAL PREMISE of AA?

If workforce inequality is prima facie evidence of discrimination then this link is evidence of discrimination by your own standards and you scoffed because it was the “good” kind of discrimination. It was the kind of discrimination that produced advantage rather than equality as ALL discrimination does.

Therefore, you readily admit to both good and bad discrimination and simply assert the good to be that which benefits you.

Of course, this completely underminds your entire argument, but I don’t expect that to have much of an impression on you.

Lastly, you readily admit to desiring to use the force of government to get the kind of “good” discrimination that will benefit you. So in this regard you expose yourself as another black supremacist with tyrannical intentions that would disregard the First Amendment rights of ALL Americans.

The aspect of this argument that really hits the intellectually-honest black person is that it has nothing to do with white racism and everything to do with combatting black supremacy and it tyrannical intentions.

Even your ode to me is evidence of this mindset.

  9. AAAHHH! Thordaddy,

Your replies never cease to amuse me. I have already given you a link with information from the government on why AA was enacted and you ignored it or failed to read it or whatever. So that is closed to me.

You still have failed to give me the link that SAYS THAT AA WAS INTENDED AS SOMETHING TO DO WITH SLAVERY! So I am sure you never will so that too is closed to me.

You have yet to prove that AA is in anyway discriminatory. Since white males are getting jobs at a FAR higher rate than any other race. Sure you showed us that black people have a slightly higher than average for black people representation in the government. But, it also showed that even if blacks get hired they DON’T make it to senior management. Wow that really shows how those blacks are stealing jobs through discrimination.

What it also showed was that white women outnumbered the entire black race in getting hired by the government AND making it to senior management. But I guess that doesn’t matter right.

Lastly prove that “good” discrimination exists. Show me the proof that white men are underrepresented in the workforce due to AA? Show me where white men are somehow NOT getting jobs due only to AA? I am sure you will not. So this too is closed to me.

Sorry your inflated ego makes you feel that this is an ode to you. Is that another part of your white privilege rearing its ugly head? In fact I am just giving my readers a glimpse into the mind of someone who is in deep denial about what happens in the REAL world.

So if you have none of the things I mentioned above you can reply until you are blue in the face with all the silly unfounded, unqualified claims. And you will be the only one looking at them. I am not a platform for your ranting. Get your own blog if you need a platform to spew junk. I don’t have to continue with it. Thanks.

  11. The Engineer

This “person” who identifies himself as “thordaddy” clearly has an English comprehension problem.

I will use his own retort as an example.

    “…
    Why did AA originate?

    Here’s a good start

To claim AA has “nothing” to do with slavery or the continued equal suffering of their black descendants is beyond disingenuous. What is the ORIGINAL PREMISE of AA?
    …”
    — quotation of a “person” identifying himself as “thordaddy.”

The part that reads, “Here’s a good start,” is the following weblink entitled “The Origins of Affirmative Action” by Marquita Sykes and dated August 1995:

    http://www.now.org/nnt/08-95/affirmhs.html

In this weblink, one can press F3 and do a search for the word, “slave,” and one will find only one reference to the word. Here is an excerpt from the weblink showing the only reference to the word, “slave”:

Originally, civil rights programs were enacted to help African Americans become full citizens of the United States. The Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution made SLAVERY illegal; the Fourteenth Amendment guarantees equal protection under the law; the Fifteenth Amendment forbids racial discrimination in access to voting. The 1866 Civil Rights Act guarantees every citizen “the same right to make and enforce contracts … as is enjoyed by white citizens … ”

    The capitalized emphasis is mine.

Please allow me to extract the single sentence that contains the only reference to the word, “slave”:

“…The Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution made SLAVERY illegal …”

The above is clear, but the “person” who identifies himself as “thordaddy” seems to have a different interpretation:

“…To claim AA has “nothing” to do with slavery or the continued equal suffering of their black descendants is beyond disingenuous.
    …”
    — quotation of the “person” who identifies himself as “thordaddy.”

“thordaddy,” himself, provides the weblink and provides the above statement. I submit to all readership of The Black Sentinel to judge for him/herself: Does the “person” who identifies himself as “thordaddy” display even an modicum of English comprehension?

It is incontrovertible: the 13th Amendment illegalized slavery.

    Wait, there is more!

Here is another excerpt from the weblink, “The Origins of Affirmative Action,” so kindly provided by “thordaddy”:
    “…
The actual phrase “affirmative action” was first used in President John F. Kennedy’s 1961 Executive Order 10925 which requires federal contractors to “take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, creed, color, or national origin.” The same language was later used in Lyndon Johnson’s 1965 Executive Order 11246.
    …”

The readership of The Black Sentinel will notice in the above excerpt that the word, “slave,” or any other word relating to slavery
    is simply not present.

Here is a link to President Kennedy’s Executive Order 10925:

    http://www.lib.umich.edu/govdocs/jfkeo/eo/10925.htm

The readership of The Black Sentinel will see that there is not one single reference to the concept of slavery in this Executive Order.

Here is a link to President Johnson’s Executive Order 11246:

    http://www.eeoc.gov/abouteeoc/35th/thelaw/eo-11246.html

Again, the readership of The Black Sentinel will see that there is not one single reference to the concept of slavery in this Executive Order.

With the exception of the true linkage between the 13th Amendment and illegalization of slavery, what has “thordaddy” provided? Nothing. “thordaddy’s” attempt to link Affirmative Action to slavery failed.

    Wait! Wait, there is more!

    “thordaddy” continues.

“…If workforce inequality is prima facie evidence of discrimination then this link is evidence of discrimination by your own standards and you scoffed because it was the “good” kind of discrimination. It was the kind of discrimination that produced advantage rather than equality as ALL discrimination does…”
    — quotation of the “person” who identifies himself as “thordaddy.”

That weblink “thordaddy” provides is entitled,
“Status Check: Minority Hiring for Federal Jobs” by Dan Woog (circa 2005):

    http://career-advice.monster.com/job-industry-profiles/government-public-service/diversity-inclusion/multicultural-workers/Status-Check-Minority-Hiring-for-Fe/home.aspx

This weblink seems to support the argument in favor of Affirmative Action. “thordaddy” somehow is shooting himself in the foot by providing this link.

Let us examine some of the numbers:
Non-Caucasians working in the Federal Government (percent):
    African-Americans: 17.4
    Asian-Americans: 4.9
    American Indians: 1.9
    Hispanics: 7.3

    Total Non-Caucasians: 31.5

    Total Caucasians = 100 – Total Non-Caucasians
    which becomes
    Total Caucasians = 68.5 percent

How many non-Hispanic White persons are there in the United States of America?

    http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/00000.html

    Answer: 66.4 percent (2006)

Total Caucasians in U.S. Government: 68.5 percent
Total Caucasians in U.S.A.: 66.4 percent

So, it would seem that Caucasians are over represented in U.S. Government jobs.

Did you do your mathematics, “thordaddy?”
How did showing that Caucasians are over represented in U.S. Government jobs help your argument, “thordadday?”
    What is your point, “thordaddy?”

“thordaddy,” your English comprehension is abysmal, your mathematics is questionable, and you are a Caucasian Male. May I suggest that you complete or repeat high school.

    Thank you for listening.

  12. The Engineer

    To The Black Sentinel,

As I wrote my previous commentary, I came to realize that racism may not be the main deficiency in the person known to us as “thordaddy.”

In his last attempt to provide evidence for his argument, he was completely off his mark; in fact, he provided information that clearly supports the position of Minorities and the policy of Affirmative Action, and that is completely contrary to his original intent.

It really seems like he cannot read or do arithmetic, and I do not mean that as an off-handed remark.

I almost want to feel sorry for him, but I must remind myself of the venom with which he attacked you. He does not deserve to be excused.

    Just cast him aside.

    Thank you for listening.

  13. Thor-loser,

Give it a rest already. You have been outdone with your own supposed proof and now you are sore about it. I see that you are still obsessed with blacks now suffering as much as their slave ancestors. And I also see that Brotherpeacemaker put you in your place about it. How did that work for you? Not very well it seems.

Also, NOT ONE person on my site has mentioned anything about blacks descending from apes BESIDES YOU! You idiot. So why do you keep bringing that up? Are you confused as to who you are talking too. I see that this is another argument you were using against Michael Fisher. How did that work for you? Not very well for this either it seems.

Also, I have showed you the documentation stating the origins of AA and why. So what is it that you really want? Are you just totally obsessed with The engineer and myself? Because if you are, I am NOT flattered and wish you would take your stupidity elsewhere. And it looks like it won’t be back to Brotherpeacemaker or to Michael Fisher anytime soon. Ha, Ha, Ha! Like I said before you amuse me on so many levels. And not because you are obviously mentally slow in some way. I don’t find that funny at all.

But, thanks for trying to continue to kick a dead horse. As you see the conversation is pretty much done. You have been proven a fraud on many fronts and now your continuation is just becoming pathetic. You should stop while you are sooooo far behind. As you have NOT proved anything you have been saying. You have done more to prove my points than anything else yet, you somehow feel the need to keep on digging that hole you are in. And as far as I am concerned it is deep enough just go ahead and bury yourself already. Go ahead, I’ll wait.

    Thanks
